THE ARDENNES, BELGIUM'S GREEN LUNG

In the Province of Luxembourg, the Ardennes forests are a treasure, an exceptional natural heritage to discover and cherish. Deep and mysterious, they invite you to contemplate or to surpass yourself, depending on your mood.

The Ardennes was also a strategic region during the two world wars. This past is nowadays valorised in museums and other marked-out walks.

HIGH FENS, AN AIR OF THE END OF THE WORLD

Looking for an incredible landscape in Belgium? Then you need to check out the fens plateau, in the Province of Liege. Made up of moors and peat bogs, it flirts with extremes and takes on the air of a Siberian steppe or African savannah, depending on the season.

And if some places are very popular, the 67,000 hectares covered by the High Fens-Eiffel Nature Park offer a multitude of little-visited places to explore.

THE GAUME, SWEETNESS ON THE MENU

In the southern tip of the country, the microclimate of the Gaume offers a welcome mildness under the Belgian latitudes. Here, the vines grow, the villages have a Provençal feel and life flows as gentle as the streams.

While the region is full of traditional terroir dishes, cheeses and beers, gourmets will also find quality vineyards and gastronomic addresses.
